Many Pakistani users and also some friends asked me how to increase the speed of “PTCL Broadband” and how they can solve their internet problems, as a personal user of PTCL Broadband, I also got such problems with my internet. Well after searching on internet and other sources, i got some information regarding why users have to face these problems or downtime’s on PTCL Broadband.

For solving this issue you have to change your DNS Server Address.
Here are many companies which provide DNS Server addresses but not for free. But no problem because Google providing a free service with name of Google Public DNS.What is Google Public DNS?
Google Public DNS is a free, global Domain Name System (DNS) resolution service, that you can use as an alternative to your current DNS provider.
Google DNS Server Address:-
Primary DNS Server:- 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS Server:- 8.8.4.4

How to change DNS Server of your modem or computer:-
Computer Network Configuration:-
First of all, go to your network connections and open properties of your current connection.
Now open settings of your Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) / (TCP/IP) and manually configure your ip address, as shown in image below.
Fill out these fields same like this picture :
Router Configuration:-
Open Internet Explorer or other browser and open your modem with this address.” 192.168.1.1 ” Username “admin” Password “admin”
Now follow the procedure which show in image below and save settings of your modem.
That’s All, Now your modem or computer configured successfully.
Note: If changing from unselected Automatic Assigned DNS to selected Automatic Assigned DNS, you must reboot the router to get the automatic assigned DNS addresses.
